Parkwood Place is known as a place of the arts. There are authors in residence, a weekly writing and poetry group, annual resident art shows, and sponsorships of the Belfry Theatre, Chemainus Theatre, and the Victoria Conservatory of Music. The calendar runs morning to evening: live music at least twice a week, movies with popcorn six nights a week, bingo three nights a week, and monthly theme dinners with live entertainment.
