Life at Parkwood Place has a full calendar, with movies six nights a week with popcorn, bingo three nights a week, live music at least twice a week, and monthly theme dinners with live entertainment.

Your day is yours to shape. Start with a walk in the garden or fresh coffee and baked goods from the bistro in the fireside lounge, open all day. Book a haircut, manicure, or facial at the salon, or a visit from the foot care nurse, all through the front desk. Use the fitness room whenever you like, and when loved ones come by, the private dining room seats up to ten at no extra charge. Supporting all of it are three delicious meals a day, weekly housekeeping, laundry facilities, resident parking, pet-friendly suites, and a team on site around the clock.

Every day offers numerous opportunities to enjoy and craft your ideal lifestyle. Participate in classes or meet new friends in social groups. All these activities promote better physical, mental, and emotional well-being, which is rewarding in itself.

Activities & recreation

The recreation program runs all day, every day, including evenings, with trivia, word games, and live Jeopardy in the TV lounge, card games, darts, and ladder ball in the games room. Residents have access to a library with internet access, a games room, and a fitness room. On-site hair salon services are available for an additional fee.

Shuttle outings run roughly twice a week to destinations like the art gallery, IMAX theatre, Dance Victoria, the casino, and the library, plus the annual trip to Chemainus Theatre. Parkwood Place also features beautifully maintained green spaces and a garden patio, where residents tend flower beds, herbs, and tomato plants.
